Preparing for What's Next
Some of the most important work we do happens long before we ever see the results.
Teachers prepare classrooms before students arrive. Parents organize schedules and gather school supplies before the first bell rings. Gardeners begin planning for next spring while summer is still in full bloom. Preparation has a way of shaping success.
The same is true at Southeastern Indiana REMC. While members flip a switch expecting the lights to come on, our employees are continually inspecting equipment, maintaining power lines, planning system improvements, and investing in technology that keeps our electric and fiber networks reliable. Much of that work happens quietly behind the scenes, but it’s what allows us to serve our members every day.
That spirit of preparation inspired this month’s issue of REMC Connect. Inside, you’ll find practical ideas to help prepare your home and finances for the months ahead. From replacing your HVAC air filter and caring for your lawn and garden to exploring Budget Billing and learning how artificial intelligence may help improve service and reliability, this issue is filled with tips designed to save time, energy, and money.
You’ll also read about another kind of preparation—neighbors helping neighbors. Through Operation RoundUp, local organizations receive funding that strengthens our communities and demonstrates what can happen when people work together for a common purpose.
At its heart, that’s what a cooperative is all about. Every investment we make, every improvement we complete, and every program we offer is designed with the future of our members and communities in mind.
As summer transitions to fall, I hope this issue inspires you to take a few small steps today that will help make tomorrow a little brighter. Thank you for allowing Southeastern Indiana REMC to be your trusted cooperative.
